Sugar was originally sort of a jokey character that I made to hang out with Mimisho Misho and the Excalibur Lalas. I styled her after Sailor Mini-Moon/Rini and thought of her as that sort of anime child/preteen protagonist just to goof around with. And, as is the case with everyone who got really attached to their joke-named character, eventually she started evolving into an actual PC instead of my vessel of cathartic Lala chaos. The Sugarfree Era ended with the sugarbean look.
