Sir Roderick is inspired by a character from my book series I am writing. His name is Sir Roderick the Red. He earned his moniker not because of his fashion, but because when he entered the battle, he would always leave it covered in blood due to the brutal efficiency of his bladework. He has served as a Field Commander/High Marshal for decades with direct command over his personal unit, The Redguard.
