Oldish bits from Stormblood (mostly)
Honestly, armor feels a bit more Chinese or Mongolian rather than historical Japanese, but it works for a fantasy setting. I'm not too up to snuff on my historical Japanese armor, but from my understanding red symbolized a samurai that has shown valor during combat.
